About
I make complicated things understandable.
I've written interpretive strategies for cultural institutions and designed communication systems for corporations navigating change. I've founded creative studios, patented technologies, and built a career that resists categorization.
Over four decades, I've collaborated with CEOs who demand precision and subject-matter experts who assume everyone shares their vocabulary. Engineers who think in systems, and artists who think in metaphor. Translating their expertise revealed the patterns I now trace in my nonfiction, questions I'm still pursuing.
This site is where I explore those questions. My nonfiction work examines how ideas transform as they travel through time, across cultures, and between media.
I'm based in Philadelphia and Houston, where I lead Exhibitry while developing long-form nonfiction projects and essays.
